SPark will be designed to meet the diverse range of its tenants.
Over the ten year lifetime of the £300m development project, 77,000 square meters of floorspace will be created within a range of highly-flexible, sustainable buildings.
A variety of types will be available, from semi-industrial workspace and test-bed facilities to laboratories and flexible office environments. Within buildings designed to support easy re-configuration as the needs of a business evolve, the Park will feature advanced telecommunications and networking infrastructure.
Businesses locating to SPark will be able to draw on an existing pool of highly skilled talent. A quarter of the local workforce holds a higher education qualification and around 60% of the 59,000 graduates that study at the local universities stay in the area after graduation.
The region is already a magnet for highly qualified employees. Spark will provide a new focus for their talents.
